Checking Connectors

Ignition off.
Check and remedy the ECC control module and power unit connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation .
Check any damage etc.
To remove the control module, see Replacing ECC Control Module .
To access the power unit, refer to Replacing the Power Unit (Electronic Climate Control) .
Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
Ignition on.
Select a Manual control setting on the blower fan switch.
Read off status of power unit communication.
Check that communication is working correctly.

If communication is OK then the status will be OK, if it is not OK then the status reading will be NOT OK

If communication is now OK this indicates that the fault was caused by in poor contact in the connectors.

Is communication OK?

YES
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.
NO
