Checking Cables

Check the ECC control module and combined instrument panel connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation .

Check signal cable between ECC control module #B1 and combined instrument panel # A6 for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults , a short-circuit to ground according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults and a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults .

Corrective action as necessary.
