Fault-Tracing Information

Condition

No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored.
The fault is permanent.

NOTE: If the sun sensor is covered the control module will not get the signal for sun intensity and cannot regulate the heat taking this factor into account. Fault causes of this type are not included in the fault-tracing procedure.

Possible Source

Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or voltage on ground lead to sun sensor.
Open-circuit, short-circuit to ground or voltage on signal cable to sun sensor.
Defective sun sensor

Fault symptom[s]

The passenger compartment temperature is not reduced when sun intensity is high.
