Checking Cables

Check ECC control module connector for Contact Resistance And Oxidation .
Check signal cable between ECC control module #B3 and generator (GEN) terminal D+ for an open-circuit according to Open-Circuit, Permanent Faults .
NOTE:
An open-circuit on the signal cable between ECC control module #B3 and connector 24/13 can be caused by the signal cable short-circuiting to ground or supply. Always check the signal cable for this fault according to Short-Circuit To Ground, Permanent Faults
and Short-Circuit To Supply Voltage. Permanent Faults

Remedy as necessary.
