Checking Connectors

- Ignition off.
- Corrective action to damper motor and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact Resistance And Oxidation

Check any damage etc.
- Reinstall components, reconnect connectors etc.
- Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VADIS station. Use it in stand-alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC).
- Ignition on.
- Wait at least 10 seconds so the control module can run diagnostics.
- Read off the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) counters.
Check the counter value. If the counter is greater than 0 the control module interprets it as an intermittent fault. If the counter is 0 the control module interprets it as a permanent fault. If the value changes now it indicates that the damper motor is OK and that the fault was caused by poor contact in the connector.

- YES
