Checking for short-circuit to ground

• Ignition off.
• Immobilizer control module disabled.

  Connect an ohmmeter between breakout box terminals #55 (#9) and #54 (#8).

  Connect an ohmmeter between breakout box terminals #56 (#10) and #54 (#8).

In both cases the ohmmeter should read infinite resistance. 

• OK 

  Refer to Replacing immobilizer control module 

• NOT OK 

  Refer to Checking for a short-circuit to ground 

Check the relevant antenna ring cable for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

Select Continue when the fault has been remedied.
