Checking power cable

Ignition off.
Disconnect connector from EVAP canister shut-off valve.
Ignition on.
Connect a voltmeter between EVAP canister shut-off valve connector terminal 1 and ground.

The voltmeter should read battery voltage.

OK
Refer to Checking EVAP canister shut-off valve
NOT OK
Refer to Checking for an open-circuit
