Remove and install new seal

Carefully  pry out the seal with a groove-cut chisel.

Clean seal seats and check for shaft end grooving.

Grease the seal.

Install the new  seal by pressing it in with drift 9995450 .

NOTE:

The seal is usually positioned flush with the inner chamfer edge. If the shaft journal is showing signs of wear, the seal can be pressed in 2 mm deeper by turning the drift socket.
