Tighten the timing belt

Remove the lock pin from the tensioner damping unit.

Press hard  or knock the belt twice  in the direction of arrow (1) and twice  in the direction of arrow (2) using a plastic mallet.

Tighten the camshaft pulley screws to 20 Nm  .

Remove the camshaft locking tool ( 9995452 ) from the rear edge of the camshafts.

Remove crankshaft locking tool 9995451 (install the plug).

Install the timing cover.

Turn the crankshaft two revolutions and check that the markings correspond.
