Removing the transmission cable and connector

Remove: 

• the gear selector cables from bracket and levers
• the outer transmission lever: Knock out the split pin
• the connector for the back-up (reversing) light switch
• the clamps for the cable harness on the transmission.

Removing the torque control arm

Remove: 

• the screws for the torque control arm / torque rod
• the torque control arm from the transmission and the mountings for the manifold and the crankcase ventilation pipe
• the two screws for the transmission / engine.

Slacken off the nut for the rear engine pad / splash guard a few turns.

Removing the clutch cable

Installing the lifting hook

Install lifting hook 9995638 .

Remove the two manifold nuts. Leave the washers in place.

Install the lifting hook in the mounting eyelet, and the two nuts.

Lift of the engine coolant expansion tank from the mounting and put it to one side.

Installing lifting tools

Install: 

• fender edge support 9995033 on the fender edges
• lifting beam 9995006 on the support. Position the beam directly above lifting hook 9995638
• lifting hook 9995460 . Tighten the hook approximately 5-10 mm so that the load on the engine pads is reduced slightly.

Note the distance between the lifting beam and the valve cover.

Removing the splash guards

Remove: 

• the front splash guard
• the splash guard under the engine.
