Replacing the Passenger Airbag Module: Conclusion

SRS Airbag Date Decal

NOTE: Do not forget to replace the steering wheel module decal on the driver's side B-post with a new decal.

The date decal is supplied with the new passenger airbag module.

Final check

WARNING: Ensure that nobody is in the car when the battery is being connected.

When all components have been installed:

switch the ignition to position II.
reconnect the battery negative lead.

NOTE: Check that the SRS warning lamp is not defective by turning the key to position II. The SRS warning lamp should light and go out after approximately 3 seconds.

Check that the SRS indicator lamp in the combined instrument panel is not lit constantly.

Fault-trace if the lamp is lit constantly.
