Removal Of Passenger Module From Cover

WARNING: Under no circumstances use an ohmmeter or other live measuring instrument to take readings on a disconnected non deployed airbag module. This could deploy the airbag.

The module is secured to the cover with 8 screws and 6 nuts.

CAUTION: Only remove the screws and nuts indicated in the figure.

WARNING: The passenger module must never be taken apart, repaired or moved to another vehicle. Follow instructions in accordance with Handling Non-Deployed Airbag Modules/Pyrotechnic Seat-Belt Tensioners , handling a replaced module.
