Replacing Windshield Wiper Arm

Removing

Remove:

nut, unscrew a few turns to protect the thread on the wiper mechanism spindle.
wiper arm from wiper arm mechanism by supporting a pipe wrench on the nut and pressing off the arm.

Remove:

nut.
wiper arm

Installing

Install:

wiper arm
nut loosely.

Adjust position of wiper arm as illustrated. The dimensions in the illustration are given in mm (in).

Tighten nuts to 16 Nm (11.8 ft.lbs).

Test windshield wiper function.
