Moving the Heater To Its Service Position: Removing: Heater

Slacken off the screw (1) slightly.

Remove the screw holding the heater to the bracket and the screw holding the heater to the sub-frame.

Lift the heater upwards/outward to release it from the bracket at the top. (The top of the heater is hooked onto the bracket.)

Move the heater downwards/forwards and let it hang in the engine coolant hoses.

NOTE: Differences in the heater mounting can occur on earlier cars.
