Checking Cable

Check cable between control module #5 and generator (GEN) D+ terminal for a short-circuit to supply voltage according to Short-circuit to supply voltage. Permanent faults .
NOTE:
If the D+ circuit is short-circuited to supply voltage the cable will probably burn off when the ignition is switched on, therefore fault-trace the circuit for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults
