Checking disc surfaces

Check brake disc friction surfaces.
If the brake disc shows signs of being skew, check its lateral run-out. See Measuring lateral run-out on brake disc .
If the brake disc shows signs of major wear, variations in thickness etc. replace it. See Brake disc rear, replacement .

NOTE:

Minimum disc thickness = replacement limit = 8.4 mm. The minimum recommended disc thickness when installing new brake pads = 8.9 mm.
