Transmission Cable, Adjusting: Preparations

Park the car on a flat surface. Do not apply the parking brake.

Remove:

The air cleaner (ACL) housing
The battery
The battery shelf

Remove:

Circlip and washer on the lever
Nuts and washers on the cable bracket.
NOTE: There are no washers on late designs.
Gear cable from the lever
