Reading off parameters

NOTE:
Presentation of time and date, as follows, takes approximately 1 second per value, which is quite normal. This is due to the control module updating the value internally.

Signal from back-up (reversing) light switch (automatic transmission, from gear-shift position sensor). The control module uses the signal to calculate the vehicle position/direction on the map. |

Date and time according to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), value: The control module receives a time signal from the GPS-system and stores the time in the memory. The control module calculates the time itself. Time zones must be taken into account when obtaining the current time in the car. Before it registers GPS signals the new control module starts the date at 1994-01-01. This also applies to a control module left unpowered over a long period. |
