Check the communication cable, power supply and ground for RTI control module

Check that fuses 15, 30 and 2 are undamaged. If any of the fuses have been damaged check the fuse circuit for a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults .

HINT: , for further information about the circuit after the fuse, see the relevant Service Information, Wiring Diagram. 

Then replace the fuse.

Check the RTI control module for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Check cable between data link connector (DLC) terminal 7 and control module #B13 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Check the power supply to the RTI control module #B1, #B2 and #B12 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Check the ground cable between the RTI control module #B8 and the ground terminal for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults .

Remedy as necessary.
