Checking vehicle speed signal: Verification

Ignition off.
Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.
Lift car so that the front wheels hang free (on AWD rear wheels as well) and remove the wheels.
Engine idling
Select a gear so the front wheels start to rotate.
Go into scrolling values.
Read off the value for speed.

Check vehicle speed signal

NOTE:
Ensure that the wheels are not rotating when the gear selector is moved.

Is the value for speed updated?

YES
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.
NO
