When Replacing Components

CAUTION: Observe the following when working on the combined instrument panel:

Cleanliness: the worksite must be free of dust, dirt, oil, solvent, etc.

Always wash your hands before disassembling the combined instrument panel. Do not use hand cream or lotion after washing. Use thin cotton protective gloves. Synthetic materials can cause static electricity.
The wiring plate must not be subjected to static electricity.
Do not touch connection plate or dial surfaces.
Do not touch the instrument needles. They are factory calibrated. If the needles are moved the instrument may display the wrong reading.
