Checking the idle air control (IAC) valve control slide

- Ignition off.
- Remove idle air control (IAC) valve.CAUTION:
Under no circumstances touch the control slide with a screwdriver or other tools as this could scratch and damage the control slide.
- Hold the valve by the connector and twist it quickly but carefully back and forth.
The control slide should switch.
