Checking engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor signal: Verify: Verification

Ignition off.
Reconnect connectors, components etc.
Start engine and let it run at idling speed.

- Read engine coolant temperature and check for reasonableness.

Engine coolant temperature should exceed 80°C when engine is warm. Upper coolant hose should be hot.
