Use of tensioner

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Volvo C70, 2001 Volvo C70, 2000 Volvo C70, 1999 Volvo C70, and 1998 Volvo C70. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The tensioner is used when working with the suspension where it is vital that the screwed joints to the rubber bushings are tightened in the normal position, that is to say in the same position as when the car is on the ground.

The tensioner off-loads pressure on the components in the suspension when removing / installing. The tool is mounted on the rear axle member with a mounting 9995660 . This means that the lift stability is not affected during work.
