Reading and erasing diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs)

This function allows stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), counters and frozen values to be read off and erased. The on-board diagnostic (OBD) system can identify 17 different faults in the form of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs).
Diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) can only be erased when all stored diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) have been read off at least once.
For all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) the value of 15 different parameters are frozen and stored at the same time as the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored.
The following frozen values can be read off:
- Vehicle speed, value
- Engine speed (RPM), value
- Engine coolant temperature (ECT), value
- Fuel level signal to needle, value
- Generator (GEN) charge voltage D+, status
- Oil pressure in engine, status
- Fuel level warning lamp, status
- Service reminder indicator (SRI), status
- Outside temperature warning lamp, status
- 12 pulse vehicle speed signal, status
- 48 pulse vehicle speed signal, status
- Outside temperature, signal from sensor, value
- Fuel flow signal, value
- Time since last service, value
- Total mileage, value
