Windshield Wiper Mechanism

Lubricate the lug using a soap solution
Install the mechanism in the correct position
Tighten the screws
Connect the connectors
Tighten the screws. Tighten to 20 Nm . Start with the outer screw (closest to the front fender)
Install the panel over the wiper mechanism
Reset the wiper motor and mechanism by switching on the ignition and then turn the wiper switch on and off
Install the wiper arms. See Wiper Arm/Blade, Windshield, Replacing .
