Shim Adjustment Of Front Side Window

Slacken off the glass clamp screws for the carriages using the Torx grip.

NOTE:

The new glass clamp screws are slackened off by turning clockwise.

To reduce the pressure at the front edge of the side window (1), shim the front carriage over the glass clamp screw.

To increase the pressure at the front edge of the side window (2), shim the front carriage under the glass clamp screw.

To reduce the pressure at the rear edge of the side window (3), shim the rear carriage over the glass clamp screw.

To increase the pressure at the front edge of the side window (4), shim the rear carriage under the glass clamp screw.

Tighten the screws. Tighten to 9 Nm.

NOTE:

The new glass clamp screws are tightened by turning counter-clockwise.

CAUTION:

Ensure that the clearance of 1 mm between the lift mechanism and the carriage is maintained.

Close the door and check that the window applies even pressure against the weatherstrip.
