Power Brake Booster RHD Cars, Replacement: Preparations

Remove:

battery positive and negative leads.
positive leads from battery shelf.
sparkplug leads from coil.
sparkplug leads from mountings on air filter casing.
air inlet hose from air filter casing.
ground braid from firewall.
bolt to torque bracket/torque arm.

In cars with automatic gearshift (transmission):

Undo upper oil radiator hose from radiator. Use expanding circlip pliers on hose holder.

In cars with turbo:

Undo turbocharger air pipe from hose connection at upper intercooler connection.
Undo upper engine oil radiator hose from radiator. Use expanding circlip pliers on hose clip.

Remove:

connector from brake fluid reservoir cap.
connector from pedal position sensor.
fire sheath from mountings on power brake booster.
hose from non-return valve on power brake booster.

In cars with manual gearshift (transmission):

Block hose to clutch cylinder with hose pliers. Disconnect hose from cylinder.
Undo brake pipe from mountings on firewall.
