The air conditioning (A/C) system evaporator has a surface coating which can cause a concrete-like odor. The odor can be treated with an agent that is sprayed on to the evaporator.
Equipment for treating evaporator
- Compressed air spray for liquids, for example, Volvo's rust inhibitor spray P/N 1159611 .
- Protective goggles.
- Rags.
- Vacuum cleaner.

WARNING:
Read warning text on pack before commencing work. Use protective goggles and gloves when spraying. Seal hole around the spray nozzle with rags during spraying to avoid spray mist leaking out into the car interior. Ensure that ventilation is good.
