Installing The Battery

CAUTION:
For removing/installing battery cables, see: Battery, disconnecting .
Transfer the terminal cover to the new battery.
Install:
- the battery
- the screw and the bracket, tighten to 25 Nm
- the battery cables on the battery terminals, tighten to 2.5 Nm
- the draining hose on the battery end plate
- the terminal cover (3).
CAUTION:
The mounting must be fitted on the right-hand screw (1).
Install:
- the mounting
- the nut (1) which attaches the mounting to the floor and tighten the nut holding the mounting to the rear crossmember
- the floor hatch.
