NOTE:
The chapter about drive shafts applies to cars with both automatic and manual transmissions. Unless otherwise stated in the text or illustrations, the methods are the same for cars with manual and automatic transmissions. The illustrations show a manual transmission for the most part. The method is the same for the left and right sides unless otherwise stated.
CAUTION:
Take care not to damage the sealing ring in the transmission or the boot on the drive shaft.
