Removing the drive shaft: Remove:

the front wheel.
the ABS-sensor from the wheel spindle.

NOTE:

Do not separate the connector halves

the nuts that hold the link arm/ball joint.

Unhook the link arm from the ball joint. Be careful with the ball joint's gaiter.

The following applies if only the right drive shaft is to be removed:

Remove the splash guard under the engine. (Only earlier version.)
