NOTE:

The following chapters dealing with drive shafts also apply to cars with automatic transmission. If nothing else is indicated in text or figure, the methods are the same for cars with manual transmission and for cars with automatic transmission. The figures show mainly drive shafts for cars with manual transmission. The method is the same for left and right drive shaft unless otherwise indicated.

CAUTION:

Take care not to damage the sealing ring in the transmission or the boot on the drive shaft.
