IMM-121 PIN
Condition
The immobilizer control module controls memory circuit, EEPROM, when a new PIN is written into the memory (during initiating). Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-121 is stored if there is a fault. Faults causing diagnostic trouble code (DTC) IMM-121 to be stored also cause IMM-112 to be stored.
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is erased when the counter value reaches 254.
Possible Source
- Fault in control module memory circuit, EEPROM.
- Faulty procedures when programming.
- The immobilizer control module is not initiated.
- The immobilizer control module does not accept or cannot read PIN while initiating.
Fault symptom[s]
- The control module cannot initiate.
- The engine starts but stalls directly.
