Checking cables

Expose VGLA control module according to Replacing the control module .
Disconnect siren according to Replacing the siren .
Disconnect siren connector.
Ignition on.
Check fuse 29.

Check the cable between #4 on the 15-I rail in the relay box and siren connector #1 for an open-circuit according to Open-circuit, permanent faults and a short-circuit to ground according to Short-circuit to ground, permanent faults . Check siren and control module connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Other information:
- The voltage between siren connector #1 and ground should be battery voltage when the ignition is on.
Remedy as necessary.
