Push the new transmission cables through the firewall

Check that they are on the correct side of the steering column.
NOTE:
The left mounting on the gear selector assembly, and the transmission cable that goes on the left both are marked yellow .
- Push the transmission cables into the sheath as far as possible and work the cables one by one below the air duct and through bracket on the center console.
- Check that the cable marked yellow is operating smoothly in its sheath. The other cable runs slightly stiffer because there is more grease in the sheath.
