Installing the Drive Shaft In the Transmission

Lubricate the mating surface at the end of the drive shaft. Use oil. See Lubrication Transmission

Press the drive shaft into the transmission.

CAUTION: Check that the catch goes into the groove by pulling the drive shaft's joint housing, not the drive shaft. There is no axial stop in the inner joint.
