Lifting and Attaching Subframe

Lift subframe using previously installed tool 9995517 and 9995518 .
Check that steering wheel joint does not get caught in body opening when lifting frame.
Lift rear edge of frame to half of tool's bolt length. Then repeat for front edge.
Lift frame until its bushings are only a few millimeters (fractions of an inch) from frame members in same order as above.

NOTE: It is important to lift the frame in the right order, otherwise the steering wheel column joint will get caught in the body opening.

Start attaching frame on LH side. Position and apply a jack under the frame's LH side.
Install support bracket bolts loosely.
Remove tools 9995517 and 9995518 .
Install subframe bolts.

NOTE: Note washers on front bolts. Use new bolts (4 st M14). Grease bolt threads.

Tighten bolts to 105 Nm (77 ft. lb), then turn through 120°. Use angle gauge 9512050 .
Now tighten support bracket bolts to 50 Nm (37 ft. lb).
Transfer jack to RH side and repeat procedure as above.
