Check Oil Level: Conditions

Flat surface, parking brake set, foot brakes applied, engine idling, gear selector in position P.
Move the gear selector through all positions, stopping in each position for 3 seconds.
Return gear selector to position P and wait 2 minutes before checking oil level.
The dipstick must be pushed down completely in the dipstick tube.
NOTE:
Wipe dipstick with a nylon cloth or the equivalent, i. e. a material free from lint and loose threads.
