Cleaning / checking the outer constant velocity joint

NOTE:
The outer constant velocity joint can remain assembled while cleaned.
If it is possible that the constant velocity joint is damaged, continue below. Otherwise, go to Greasing and installation .
Use an electrical etching pin to mark the outer constant velocity joint's outer ring, bearing race and inner ring in relation to each other.
