Check the control module and TMC/FM receiver connectors for contact resistance and oxidation and remedy according to Contact resistance and oxidation .

Ignition on.

Disconnect the Volvo Scan Tool (ST) from the VIDA station. Use it in stand alone mode and connect it to the data link connector (DLC) in the car.

Use System test function to test if the TMC/FM receiver is OK. For more information about System test, see System Test . The test can take up to approximately 6 seconds at longest.

Other information: 

• To access/replace the control module, see Replacing the control module, old system .
• To access/replace the TMC receiver, see Replacing TMC receiver .
• To access/replace the FM receiver, see Replacing the FM receiver .

Check if the TMC/FM receiver is OK.

If the FM receiver is now OK, the fault was due to a bad connection in the connectors.

Is the TMC/FM receiver OK? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO
