Checking Remote Control Function (1999-2004): Verification: Notes

HINT: After carrying out the repair, check that the fault has been remedied as follows:

• Ignition off.
• Reconnect connectors, reinstall components.
• Ignition on.
• Establish communication with the RTI system by reading diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) for example. The display should fold up.
• Interrupt communication with RTI control module.
• Do not switch off ignition.

  Try to switch RTI system off with remote control.

Is the remote control OK? 

• YES 

  OKAY:  Troubleshooting has been completed.

• NO 

  Refer to Fault-tracing information
