Installing the sub-frame

Lift the sub-frame until it is against the frame members.

Install: 

• new screws in the sub-frame
• the washers at the front edge and the support plates at the rear edge of the sub-frame
• the evaporator cable and the oil pipe into place in the sub-frame clips.

Install the four subframe screws together with the subframe brackets and engine heater where appropriate.

Tighten. See appropriate service information for torque specifications. First tighten the screws on the left-hand side of the subframe followed by those on the right.

Tighten the bracket screws M10.

Cars with parking heaters 

Install the parking heater in the bracket. Tighten the nuts.
