Removing the seal

Carefully tap down the tool ( 9997219 ) in the bottom of the shift shaft.

Tighten the bolt on the puller.

Screw in a new M12 bolt in the top of the puller until the seal releases.

Remove the seal.

CAUTION:

Clean away any rust from the shaft.

Use grinding cloth 951 1024 or a very fine emery cloth to clean the shaft.

Clean around the shaft with isopropylalcohol and blow it clean with compressed air.
