Preparations And Adjusting The Mechanical Cable

NOTE:

Remove the air cleaner (ACL) housing. See Transmission Cables, Replacing .

Remove the ball joint for the inner cable from the side lever. Use jimmy tool 9997077 .

Release the adjuster on the cable.

Check that the gear selector lever is in neutral.

Press the ball joint for the cable into place on the lever by hand.

Press the adjuster into place so that it is locked on the cable.

Install the air cleaner (ACL) housing. See Transmission Cables, Replacing .
