Input Shaft Seal: Installation

Installing the primary shaft seal

Lubricate the lip of the seal. Use grease, P/N 116 1241-3 (80 g).

Use drift 9997004 for installing the seal.

Pull the sliding drift sleeve forward. Press the seal into place.

Guide drift on primary shaft. Tap in the seal until the sliding drift sleeve is against the gearbox and in the rear sleeve position.

Checking before installing

Check that the clutch slave cylinder bearing rotates freely and there is no leakage. Check that the sealing ring on the clutch slave cylinder is intact.

Installing the clutch slave cylinder 

Install the clutch slave cylinder. Use an M6 screw. Tighten.

Lubricate the seal on the clutch slave cylinder using a little brake fluid. Install the pipe on the clutch slave cylinder using the lock.
