Checking the receiver

NOTE:

This method only applies to vehicles with the tire pressure warning system.

A diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored in the upper electronic module (UEM) in the event of a fault in the tire pressure sensors.

HINT: Check that no diagnostic trouble code for missing sensor has been stored in the Upper electronic module (UEM) before checking the system - if so, troubleshoot according to this diagnostic trouble code.

The receiver is in the rear view mirror. It receives signals from both the remote control and tire pressure sensors. The remote control can be used to check that the receiver is working.

Check the function of the receiver by pressing the locking and unlocking button on the remote control. The vehicle must lock and unlock.

NOTE:

Fault-trace the symptoms if the remote control and receiver are not working.
