Checking the cable
- Ignition off
- Remove relay 2/29 from the central electronic module (CEM) relay holder.
Check the cable between fuse 11C/24 terminal #2 (10A) and relay holder 2/29 terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.

Is the cable correct?
- YES
Refer to Checking the signal cable
- NO
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.
- Ignition off.
Check the cable between relay holder 2/29 terminal #1 and Shift Lock connector 3/156 terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.

- YES

- NO
OKAY: Troubleshooting has been completed.

Also check the cable between relay holder 2/29 terminal #1 and Shift Lock connector terminal #1. Check for a short-circuit to ground.
Remedy as necessary.
