Checking for a short-circuit

Measure the resistance between the fuse holder secondary side (left) and ground.

The ohmmeter should read infinite resistance.

If the value is correct, replace the fuse.

NOTE:

The fault could be intermittent.

If the value is incorrect, fault-trace all affected relay circuits and component wiring for a short-circuit to ground.

HINT: Replace fuse.

HINT: If the fuse blows immediately the short-circuit is in the relay power cable.

HINT: If the fuse blows when the tailgate is opened the short-circuit is in the power supply cable for the component

HINT: Relay supply cable: fuse 11D/6 terminal #5 relay base 2/67.

HINT: Component supply cable: terminal #4 relay base 2/67 terminal #2 lock unit.
