Checking the wiring and the relay

Check the signal cables to the parking lamps. Check for an open-circuit. Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the relay (2/61).

HINT: The voltage over the relay must be 12 V on pins #1 and #3 when the parking lamp is switched on. 

Check the cable between terminal #3 and fuse 2, main fuses in the engine compartment (11A/2).

Also check the main fuse.

Check the connector between (54/3R).

Check the cable between the relay #1 (2/61) and passenger compartment fuses for the left respectively right parking lamps. (Fuse 11C/30 for the left side and 11C/31 for the right side).

Check the cable between the passenger compartment fuse and terminal #2 of the lamp housing for the relevant lamp circuit.

For the left parking lamp, check lamp 10/11.

For the right parking lamp, check lamp 10/12.

Check the ground supply between the lamp housing terminal #1 and the ground terminal.

Also check the connector between (54/3L).

Remedy as necessary.
